I met a girl named Melanie at The Pitch, the climbin gym, exchanged info and met up a few days later when she picked me up from Matt's and we drove about an hour south of Parramatta to the Royal National Park near Waterfalls (a town's name). We drove another 15km until we reached Wattamolla. There was this immense cliff with two falls gently flowing over into a large "freshwater"--although salty--lagoon, which is barred from the ocean by just several meters of sand.

Mel and I hiked along the southern side of the bay until we reach the end of the rocky extension into the ocean. It was great. The stone was sandstone which lent itself to very unique and hole-y erosion. After admiring a glorious view of the newly reveiled cliffs to the south, we hiked upward until we reached a higher path which narrowly traversed the rocky outcrops. It was pretty amazing, and beautiful.

I ran into a massive spider. And almost risked my life, but I'll have much more time to risk my life in the next few months. Although I did jump into the water from the 12+ meter cliff... zeeee!

Saturday was great and that evening Matt and I left for Vincentia...
